SiaVault Review: The Ultimate Digital Management System for Gun Owners

Managing a modern firearm collection requires more than just a sturdy safe. Tracking serial numbers, keeping up with maintenance schedules, monitoring fluctuating ammunition supplies, and securing data for insurance purposes demand a dedicated solution.

Enter SiaVault, the flagship digital armory system developed by the team here at Standard Issue Armory. While we might be a little biased, we built SiaVault specifically because we couldn't find an existing app that met the rigorous demands of serious collectors and tactical operators.

In this review, we break down the core features that make SiaVault the premier choice for comprehensive firearm management.

1. The Digital Armory: Your Safe, Digitized

The core of SiaVault is the Digital Armory. This is where you log every weapon in your inventory. Unlike simple spreadsheets, the armory is designed around visual and detailed data entry.

• Deep Data Logging: Track make, model, caliber, serial number, purchase date, and price.
• Custom Builds: Specifically designed to handle custom AR-15s and modified pistols, allowing you to list individual upgraded components (triggers, optics, barrels) and calculate the true "as-built" value of the weapon.
• Photo Galleries: Upload high-resolution images of each firearm, including macro shots of serial numbers and specific blemishes, ensuring you have total visual documentation.

2. Ammo Tracking: Never Run Dry

Ammunition management is a constant headache. SiaVault's Ammo Tracking feature takes the guesswork out of your logistics.

• Live Inventory: Input your current round count by caliber.
• Cost Tracking: Log your cost per round, helping you track your expenditure over time and hunt for better deals.
• Range Integration: When you log a range trip (see below), the app automatically deducts the rounds fired from your master inventory, keeping your stash count perfectly accurate without manual auditing.

3. Range Logs and Maintenance Schedules

A well-maintained weapon is a reliable weapon. SiaVault helps you track performance and upkeep.

• Range Logs: Document your range sessions. Record which firearms you used, the number of rounds fired, and notes on performance (e.g., zeroing data, malfunction tracking).
• Maintenance Alerts: Set round-count thresholds for specific maintenance tasks. The app will notify you when it's time to replace an extractor spring or deep-clean a bolt carrier group based on the actual usage logged in the app.

4. The Insurance Dossier: The Crown Jewel

This is where SiaVault separates itself from the competition. In the event of theft, fire, or loss, dealing with insurance companies can be a nightmare without organized proof.

• One-Click Generation: The Automated Insurance Dossier compiles all your firearm data, purchase prices, serial numbers, and uploaded photos into a single, professionally formatted PDF.
• Ready for Adjusters: This dossier organizes the information law enforcement and insurance adjusters typically ask for, helping you respond quickly and minimizing your stress during a crisis.

Security First

We know that data security is paramount. SiaVault utilizes industry-standard encryption to protect your data. Your records are backed up securely in the cloud, meaning even if your phone is destroyed or stolen, your inventory data remains safe and accessible from any other device.

The Verdict

If you own more than a couple of firearms, manual tracking is obsolete. SiaVault provides an unparalleled, all-encompassing system that handles the logistics of ownership while providing the critical insurance documentation necessary to protect your investment.

Built by shooters, for shooters, SiaVault is the ultimate digital companion for your physical armory.
